My HIV Prevention

As you probably know, HIV/AIDS is a monstrous global pandemic.  In Sub-Saharan Africa alone, HIV/AIDS claims more than 1.2 million lives a year.  To put that number into relative terms, it is the equivalent of wiping out the entire populations of both Boston AND Washington D.C... all in just one year.

The Ghana AIDS Project (GhAP) Committee is a team of Peace Corps volunteers seriously dedicated to combating HIV as a major part of our service here in Africa. Recently, we decided to make a series of media outreach videos about what inspires us to protect ourselves and remain HIV-free. Here's mine...

Feel free to comment... What's your inspiration? What's your HIV prevention?

P.S. Check out the GhAP Committee website to see the videos of other absolutely amazing PCVs! http://ghapc.tumblr.com/
